UNIQUE FUNDRAISING IDEA
Celeste Kuta, a great animal lover and one of our long-time supporters, asked whether she could do something special to help PETroglyphs. She and Joe Aquilina, another animal lover, were engaged. They decided that rather than receive a lot of gifts at their shower, they wanted to share their happiness by having people give gifts to others in their name. They selected two charities that were close to their hearts and gave their shower guests the option of donating to one or the other of the charities instead of bringing a gift.
PETroglyphs received over $500 in donations from Celeste and Joe’s generosity and thoughtfulness for which we are most grateful. It will help PETroglyphs continue its mission as the voice for the animals.
Another benefit is that many people in Illinois will be receiving PETroglyphs in return for their donation. The cause of animals will spread a little further.
Perhaps there is an occasion in your life where you know people will bring you gifts, but you don’t really need or want anything. You, too, could suggest that they donate to a charity in your name. Of course, if you wanted to give them PETroglyphs as a choice for their donation, that would be wonderful.
