New Book Released
¿CUANTOS PERROS? HOW MANY DOGS? by Bam Schildkraut
¿Cuantos Perros? How Many Dogs? is a read-out-loud romp through numbers 1-10 with a pack of playful pooches.
Simple verses use the English and Spanish words for numbers. The short rhymes literally roll off the tongue
(can you say perros?) and children quickly learn to count and woof aloud with each verse. The rhymes and
illustrations focus on positive interactions between dogs and people. From the wraparound cover to the last page,
the illustrations of the 55 dogs and one cat are vivid, active and humorous. Children will delight in finding
the friendly little cat hidden in every illustration as they count their way through the book.
For more information on the book, visit the author's website at www.bamschildkraut.com.
New Animal Anthology Features PETroglyphs Writer/columnist
Deborah Schildkraut, PETroglyphs writer and Casa Canine columnist, has a short story, Do Not Delete, published in a
new anthology of animals stories called Nurturing Paws.
The book features stories "celebrating the remarkable ability of
animals to ease our physical and emotional pain while showing love, compassion and acceptance." Stories feature animals
from dogs and cats to rabbits, parrots and pigeons. A book to inspire and uplift the spirits of animal lovers everywhere!
New Book Features PETroglyphs Editor and Writer
Nancy Marano, PETroglyphs' editor and regular "Cat Chat" columnist,
has a short story called, "A Fleece Robe," in the recently released book A Cup of Comfort for Cat Lovers. The fifty stories in this
latest volume of the Cup of Comfort series will make you laugh, cry and pause to say "Ah..." Animal lovers, and cat lovers in particular,
should crack open this book to spend a few hours with a host of wonderful felines. It's the perfect read for a cozy afternoon and even
better with a cat curled up in your lap.
