PETROGLYPHS WINS CAT WRITERS' AWARDS

Great news! Nancy Marano's popular column "Cat Chat" has again won a Muse Medallion, for best newsletter column for 2006.

Nancy also won a special Shojai Mentor Award, "which recognizes the Cat Writers' Association member who has offered guidance, encouraging counsel, support, or other help that has had a direct and positive influence on another's writing/publishing success."

PETroglyphs won Muse Medallions from the Cat Writers' Association for best regional newsletter in 2004 and 2005.

A judge has commented that PETroglyphs is "well-written, well-researched and provides excellent in-depth coverage of issues affecting its readers." And, regarding Cat Chat: "She (Nancy Marano) had an important message and an authoritative voice. I would want to read her columns again." PETroglyphs thanks the Cat Writers' Association for honoring us once again.

Deborah Schildkraut has won a 2006 Maxwell Award from the Dog Writers' Association of America for her Casa Canine series on end-of-life issues. Thank you to the Dog Writers for honoring PETroglyphs with this coveted award.
